2000 Beneteau 411 ‘In Recess’

NZ $215,000

‘In Recess’ is a Beneteau 411, 2000, fully kitted out as long term cruising liveaboard. Current owners since 2009 have kept her in pristine original condition.

Approaching In Recess from any angle demonstrates the quality of design that has made the Beneteau 411 a much admired, contemporary cruiser with respectable performance and sea keeping capabilities.

This is what the international reviews say:

A couple’s Cruising Boat with Offshore Capabilities. With more than 400 boats sold worldwide since it was introduced in 1997, the Beneteau 411 has already joined the ranks of modern cruising classics as one of the more popular and successful 40+footers of all time.

‘In Recess’ is a superb example of this very popular and contemporary cruising yacht with everything aboard to begin your liveaboard or cruising lifestyle in comfort.

Stepping easily aboard onto the generous boarding platform and through the open transom walkway a generous cockpit awaits. Near new canvas and clears enhance the cockpits comfort.

Extra custom seats occupy the aft corners providing all levels of involvement, or relaxation when underway.

Inside the companionway a warm welcome awaits. A beautiful solid varnished timber finish completes the ambience with seating for 6 around a main saloon table. The galley offers enormous bench space and storage and there is headroom throughout. Two large aft berths also swallow lots of storage containers and still leave plenty of space.

Simple details, like a fold down platform over the head provides a large seat in the shower – a greatly overlooked and underestimated feature in bathrooms on boats.

Forward a large double cabin, complete with your own courtesy couch makes for a nice retreat to simply read or relax.

‘In Recess’ offers a fantastic opportunity for a couple or family to start their adventure in an affordable, well maintained vessel, with the reputation earned world-wide for their ease of handling and performance.

‘In Recess’ comes with all the usual cruising gear and some unique upgrades that demonstrate the quality and attention to detail of every system on board. Example; her large capacity water tankage combined with an extremely clever and efficient custom rain water catchment enables long term off the grid cruising. Modern luxuries like a wifi booster connect you to the world ashore.

Please Note: Check out the extras list of the recent upgrades sailed two up for her South Pacific cruise in 2023. She is easily handled and a very much loved cruising vessel offering a priceless experience of a lifetime at a very affordable price

*Important Information

Summary:

‘In Recess’ presents very well in good cruising condition. The price is commensurate with her fit out and condition and offers a reliable, affordable branded contemporary vessel, that’s both coastal convenient and an offshore capable cruiser.

She has new clears ordered for the cockpit canvas.

There is crazing on the deck hatches. This can be polished out though offers privacy for those walking above on deck or in the saloon and bedrooms below. They are watertight and of course offer a clear view when open.
