Blast from the past.

1978 Catamaran 46 ‘Master Blaster’

A blast from the past – Master Blaster 46’ catamaran is for sale. A rare opportunity to be a part of this iconic piece of Auckland history, superbly presented. With a NZ circumnavigation under her hulls and countless race wins this superbly presented and iconic catamaran is ready to cruise with grace and pace.

Perfect for two families with summer cruising, vast accommodation for 12 without even starting in the saloon. This boat is in pure open plan holiday mode. Separate aft cabins for teenagers or parents, a galley that is the best layout on any cat, that maximises the galley space and the enterta9nment flow through into the cockpit.

When Master Blaster first blasted onto Auckland’s yachting scene in 1978 she was a super cat with no rivals. Today her pace and grace belie her age and credit her timeless open design, build quality, ongoing maintenance and upgrades over the decades. Precisely why today she still has no rivals.

She has circumnavigated New Zealand which is no mean feat. Master Blaster is now in family cruise mode allowing a couple of families to share summer holidays aboard.

Twin diesels, and all mod cons make her very comfortable light and airy – and very maneuverable. Centre boards have been replaced with a shallow stub keel so she can now be safely beached. Retractable rudders allow you to sneak in right to the beach. It is the welcome of her huge interior that affords a wonderful area for lots of people to enjoy daytime and night time fun all summer long.
